About Randall Stone
Randall Thomas Stone, who goes by 'Randy' or 'Sunshine' by those who really love him, was born and raised on a small farm/ranch in Southern California about thirty minutes from downtown San Diego. His first love, other than the little pig tailed blonde that lived a mile down the road, was photography. On one of the first field trips enbarked on in grade school, mom provided him with an old roll film camera and from that point on a camera has always been close at hand.
In the mid seventies, Randy's parents moved the family to Wyoming where he lived until 1981 before returning to Southern California. Randy has traveled throughout the United States and Europe and has put together a wide and varied portfolio of images gathered from places he has visited. He loves getting out with his camera in hand and taking part in the community whether it be a wedding he was hired for or a local charity event and mostly spends his time at local car shows and auto racing tracks in Southern California while still finding some time in between to explore the wide variety of photo opportunities afforded in the area he lives. Southern California offers a wide mix of potential images with incredible scenic vistas along the Pacific Ocean coastline to some of the worlds most beautiful wildflowers in the Anza Borrego desert and the mountains between, all within a relatively short distance from each other.
Randy hasn't found a niche nor does he wish to, as a true believer in the motto that variety is the spice of life, he'll always be reaching out for something new to explore with his third eye, the camera! Come on in, explore his photos and art, hopefully you will find something that adds a little 'Sunshine' to your day!
